Single mother of two.

I am a 43 year old female with a partner of 16 years,he is the stepfather to my three beautiful daughters aged 21,20 and 17 years.

My husband is 32, currently receiving palliative care.

My name is Mikayla, I'm sixteen years old and have a large mole in the back of my eye, we are yet to find out whether it is a melenoma yet, however my grandmother also has reoccurring cancer in the uterus and my family and I care for her.

Four years ago I lost y fiance Trey to testicular cancer. I am still having a hard time accepting it actually happened. Tryign to move on with life but it's hard. Just reaching out - hoping to chat with others and offer my support to those affected by this horrible disease. It causes too much pain and suffering and tragedy! It needs to be stopped.

I am currently helping care for my Mother who was diagnosed with a GBM4 Brain Tumour in September 2012.

Have stage 4 adenocarcinoma of the lungs

Was told I had a lump in my right buttock but highly unlikely it would be cancer. Had it out 5 weeks ago. Surgeon was excited because it was very rare type of tumor but nothing to worry about - just needed checking every 6 mths. GP hit the roof because it was cancer. Everything began in a mad rush - more scans, oncologist, planning for radiation etc. This bit has only happened in the last week and a half and I can't wrap my head around it. Keep crying even though I know it will all be fine.

I'm 68yrs old married with 3 grown up sons in 1995 I had breast cancer with that I had Partial Mastectomy following 5weeks of Radiotherapy plus 4 1/2 years of the drug Tomoxefin all went good I was glad I had beat the cancer.2004 I lost my mother to Colon Cancer ,In 2008 my sister had cancer on the Spleen had it removed and followed by radical chemotherapy now she's cancer free.in May 2012 my husband and I went for a trip to Italy to visit relatives while over there I had terrible back aches comeback home on the 24th of June went to the doctor had back scan showed degenerative in the spine gave me some pain killers still I was not too happy with the results ,something was telling me to go and see my breast specialist I told him what was happening he looked at me and said Francesca we cannot overlook that you had Breast cancer 17years ago I'm going to send you to have all the tests to see if the cancer comeback ,and sure enough the cancer did comeback, Breast Carcinoma with bone metastases all over my body ,had radiotherapy, they put me on drug Femara after 3months had blood tests and we find out the drug had not worked and the cancer had spread in other places now I'm on Chemotherapy drug called Xeloda I take it by mouth I just hope it will work.

My dad has primary liver cancer..

My father at age 57 has just been diagnosed with Lung cancer and has been given eight weeks to live. Its been a big shock to the family and being the oldest child, I feel I need to set Mum and Dad up with the care and resources they need to deal with this terminal cancer. Any advise or experiences with available services and pallative / hospice care for people living in the south of Adelaide would be great. Thanks in advance.

I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer)Grade 3 in Dec05, underwent Lumpectomy, chemo(FACx6) and radiotheraphy(30).

52 years old, just finished radiation, chemo before that,on hormone tables now.

My mum has just being diagnosed with uterine cancer.

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in January 2010. It's been a shock to the system but I have a beautiful 22 month-old little girl, an amazing husband and family and friends who love and support me, so I'm just trying to stay positive and take things one day at a time.

My name is Anne and I live on the North Coast of NSW on sixty acres of beautiful bush.
I am isolated much of the time and the nearest town is 30 kilometres away.

I live in regional nsw and care for my 20 year old daughter who was diagnosed with a grade 4 gbm in November 2011. I was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2010 and had surgery, chemo and radiation and my daughter cared for me while I went through that, so now it is my turn to look after her .... I would trade places with her at any time as she deserves so much more than what life has thrown at her.

Full time carer for my mother.

I live in country WA no absolute diagnosis as yet but Haemotologist is talking soft tissue myeloma, not one that she has any experience of (me neither!) I'm just looking for a soft place to pour out my fears and not worry my family. I am certain you all know what I mean. I look forward to getting to know some of you.

My mum was diagnosed with Gall Bladder cancer in November 2012.

My husband has been recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We have a 6 year old daughter.

my son had a GBM brain tumor and passed away on the 21st September 2012
