Re:INCORRECT ADDRESS - Working Beyond Cancer

Hi everyone,

My apologies for this. The initial flyer had the incorrect address on it (although it is a registration only workshop so we could have passed on the new address). It is Level 10, 100 Pacific Hwy, Nth Sydney NOT Miller st,

Thanks

Re: Cancer Council NSW Workshop - Working Beyond Cancer

I can't make this workshop, but it seems to cover a number of issues I have and have had with working. Is it possible to get someone relevant from the Cancer Council to answer some questions about working in this forum?

Personally, I'm interested in what obligations I may have towards my employer, what obligations they may have towards me and whether I'm obliged to disclose my medical history to potential employers. It would be great to get specific information about this.

Re: Cancer Council NSW Workshop - Working Beyond Cancer

Hi Steve
Great to hear from you and your interest. This is a pilot program and we are covering quite a few issues some of which you have mentioned. I am working out a way we can share this content online and will be back to you after the program next week once we work out the best way to share it.

Thanks for your patience

Re: Cancer Council NSW Workshop - Working Beyond Cancer

Hey stevec,

long time since i have been on the site - so first of all a BIG hello to you Smile

to answer your request... I recommend giving Annie a buzz. She is the loveliest lady and I am sure she will answer your questions. To back this up, I will also email her a request to post up her answers on this forum so others, like yourself who are searching for answers around this important and sensitive topic can see and share alike.

Best,
Nikki

Re: Cancer Council NSW Workshop - Working Beyond Cancer

Hey Nikki, hello to you too! how are you and your little boy going?

I'll give Annie a buzz, but I thought it might be good to do it through the website so other people can see what answers I get. I'll talk to Annie about that too.
