Hi there I'm hosting a fundraiser with the proceeds going to the Garvan Inst. for reseach into pancreatic cancer. My mum suffered PC and my brothers, Dad & I feel this is something positive we can do to help others (now and in the future) who may find themself in a similar situation. It is also a relaxed day of lawn bowling and lunch with a great group of people - some like us with first hand experience of PC. For full details please drop me a line and I can email or post you details direct but it is on Sunday April 20th from 1pm at Gymea bowling Club. All the best Tanya

Hi Everyone- there will be staff members from the Garvan Institutes Pancreatic Cancer Research Team attending the fundraiser on Sunday the 20th and we would love to talk to patients and families affected by PC. There are some great prizes on offer and is a great chance for everyone to get together in a relaxed environment. Hope to see you there!

I have been told about this event for fundraising and awareness raising specifically for pancreatic cancer. It would be great if someone out there was keen. I don't think I'm that athletic. "Ride around the World, are a series of biking events that are linked to the core bike ride, and are taking place both nationally in the UK and internationally, and will involve people of all ages. These bike events will provide a focus for sponsorship to be raised, and the combined miles / kilometres will be added up so as to try and reach the combined target of 'Riding around the World'. So even if someone rides 1 km, then this is added to the target, and they will have helped to 'Ride around the World'. Full details are available on the Bike to the Future website: www.biketothefuture.org.uk "

well done Margo, the city to surf is damn tough but a fantastic acheivement, I would like to join you (and I will try to get my husband onboard too), I have a 6 month old so I'm only just getting back into my fitness regime, I'm not quite as fit as I once was and training for the distance is hard as I don't seem to have 1+ hours spare in the day anymore Smile Let me know all the details and we can go from there My fundraiser's detials are: tickets $25 Single, $40 couple or $50 a family ( kids over 12), cost includes lunch and lawn bowls at Gymea Bowling Club, Gymea, Sydney (behind the Trade Union Club). Starts at 1pm (ends approx 3pm). Raffle on day also, tickets $5 each or 4 for $15, great prizes including double tickets to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert + night at the Westin in Melbourne, dinner for two, retail vouchers & more. There is indoor bowls if it rains also. If you'd like to come along please email me at tanyasegger@iinet.net.au. All the best T
