Why is National Children's Memorial Day held so close to Xmas?
It's painful enough that this time of year is missing a special little boy, who should be opening presents with his family, who would be taking training wheels off his bike, who would be getting ready for Pre-School next year, and the list goes on.
This will be our 3rd Rememberance Evening and I think I might have the courage to read my poem in front of all the other parents who have also lost their little ones. Who ever said this gets easier can come along to this and see and feel the heart-ache in the room. It doesn't get any easier at all, I'm still getting used to the new normal.
