Family Cancer Connect - volunteers urgently required

The Cancer Council urgently needs volunteers who have cared for a partner, family member or close friend with cancer to provide telephone support to others going through a similar experience.

Cancer Connect is a free and confidential telephone support program that links people affected by cancer to a trained volunteer who will listen to concerns. Demand for the service means more volunteers are needed to provide support.

If you're interested in sharing your experience with others and offering invaluable support to people in a similar situation, please call the Cancer Council Helpline on 13 11 20, or email cancer.connect@cancervic.org.au. Full training will be given to successful applicants. A minimum of 2 years must have passed since completion of cancer treatment or bereavement.
