Hi All,
I just wanted to pass on some details about an upcoming event that some people may be interested in.

COSA CONSUMER FORUM
“It’s Not Just About The Cancer”

This information forum about cancer is an initiative of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA) and Cancer Voices Australia which provides a national, independent “voice” for people affected by all types of cancer, linking and collaborating with state Cancer Voices in ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, SA and TAS.

Each year COSA conducts an annual scientific meeting for health professionals in cancer care and also host a special information meeting for people who have been affected by cancer. This information forum is intended for people whose lives have been affected by cancer. The forum will provide an opportunity to:
* Hear presentations by world renowned cancer specialists
* Hear from people with a personal experience of cancer including
patients and carers, as well as cancer care specialists
* Raise questions and provide comment on issues raised during the forum
* Meet and connect with other people whose lives have been affected
by cancer

If only we could have something similar or same in Melbourne. I think it would be a fantastic educational experience.

When & where is the 2011 COSA conference?
Sorry I've just found the website, so here's the answer:

This year's meeting is being held 15 - 17 November 2011 at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre, focus is urological and colorectal cancers. See http://www.cosa.org.au/asm/asm.html
