A Prostate Lament

A Prostate Lament

I, who once measured out my life with coffee spoons [1],
Now measure it out with toilet stops,
And travel with strips maps downloaded from:
www dot toiletmap dot gov dot au.

I, who once camped in mountains and high plains,
And stopped where I wished in many questionable pubs,
Must now stop in a major centre, with a good emergency department
And a resident urologist.

I, who once travelled light -food, clothes, tent in a backpack
Must now carry half a case of medical paraphernalia,
Medical history and urologists listed from:
www dot usanz dot org dot au slash find-a-urologist.

I who once could travel at short notice almost anywhere,
Must now plan carefully and no longer stop at a whim.
But I still travel - with restrictions and complications,
And for that I am thankful.

Hi Sailor,

I agree with Jules, you are very clever. Good to see your blog, I was thinking the other day, this site is missing your words of wisdom and wonderful quotes.
